On the bright side, they didn't use any salt today. And I didn't hit anybody or even have any close calls! Did creep very very slowly down one shiny hill this morning.

So do the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires. ZERO traction in the snow

Not trolling... but apparently I took my snows off a week early this year! And they should have been out salting this morning.

You in MN? We didn't get any accumulation today but it was snowing for a good chunk of the afternoon.

Yeah the weather is really being mickey-mouse this year :(
Of course, if you hadn't taken your snows off early it's be 80 degrees all month!

MA. Even with warming up the car and having the rear def. on for 20 minutes I had to get out a scraper to work through that shit. Door handles were frozen and all that. Stuff was about an inch thick and stuck hard.

And that I spent pretty much the entire weekend with rakes, an aerator and spreader making the lawn all nice. Now the hoses and sprinklers and stuff I put all around the yard for new grass seed are frozen solid. Supposed to go into the 20s tonight too. Blech.

I got my Pilot Super Sports installed Monday.
Picture from outside the shop during installation:
How do you like them?
They are stickier than I expected. Might have to get some clear bra by my wheels. They pick up EVERY pebble that ever existed.

They are amazing in wet and dry roads! (as long as they aren't frozen) I'm very impressed. Got them used from a friend who was trading his car in. I bought him some cheap tires to trade in on and took his 6,000 mile SSs. First thing I noticed was how much stuff they grabbed off the roads and kicked up on my car. I might have to get mudflaps!! But these are worth it. The grip is like nothing I've driven on the street before!

Sounds like a typical snowfall for people near the great lakes, heavy at stubborn.
The thick stuff missed me by a few miles based on what my buddy was saying.

Not unsurprising kind of stuff for us. We are usually near a mix-to-snow or wet snow area, we get a lot of slushy crap that turns to frozen slush, etc. But not in April... It was good December or January kind of crap today.

Yeah it was 70 a few days ago and it's been snowing/raining all day. My buddies up north in Duluth said they have like 6 inches right now.

Those are the same shoes I had on my G35 in Virginia during a blizzard. They performed exactly as I expected. Like rocks. But I only got stuck once before abandoning the drive to work and returning home.

Don't have to go to Duluth to get 6". Anoka area ended up with about 1', I think. And it's probably 6" here, West of the Cities. (I didn't know you were in MN.)

This shouldn't be a shocker to anyone... and also, why I still have my winters on despite my beautiful new summer set staring at me every day for a couple weeks now.

i usually tell people to wait until May to switch back, allow for pothole repair, etc.. Too ancious to try these out I guess! They are new to me this year (got them lightly used).

Oh god Anoka got a foot? I'm lucky I don't even have an inch here, must have missed us by that much.
